Wouter Zijlstra, founder of Greatwaves, wrote a blog about many reason why you shouldn’t start with the well-known ‘why’ when you want to become an entrepreneur.
“That is why I would like to propose to convert ‘Start with Why’ to: ‘Just Start’. Just start doing business, while continuing to critically assess your ideas and what drives your company (and your team). It is a shame to dwell too long in a thinking phase, because very few companies succeed in formulating an effective why in their initial phase, let alone properly executing it. So, just start. By doing so, you’ll automatically find out why your customers want to do business with you and why your employees think it is great to work for you, or not.”
In addition, he mentioned the value of the ‘Just Start’-perspective in the light of participating in Startup Weekend Groningen!
